Though she be but little, she is fierce! William Shakespeare

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Brianna Cowles who was born in United States on September 6, 1985 and passed away on May 29, 2014. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

Brianna Bernice 'Bri' Cowles

Cowles, Brianna Bernice "Bri" (nee Richmond) age 28, died unexpectedly Wednesday night. No one could know her and not love her. She was truly such a fierce light that lit up everyone's life. She was as soft spoken and kind as she was tough and hard working. She was so talented and driven in everything she pursued. Brianna was a role model to so many in life, being an incredible mentor to many young professionals as well as an example of a strong talented woman in the work place. Brianna was also a talented athlete from childhood playing hockey, softball, volleyball, and soccer. Brianna loved theatre. Starting in high school and following her passion, she received her BFA in Theatre from Minnesota State University - Mankato in 2008. After graduation she followed Matt on a life of adventure. Everywhere she worked she brought joy and comfort to everyone backstage, calming nervous actors before their entrance, and fixing problems without hesitation. She was currently working her dream job, alongside Matt, as a carpenter for a national touring Broadway show. Brianna brought so much to this world that can never be replaced. She spent her last days with Matt, the love of her life. They just had their one year wedding anniversary and it was an incredible celebration. Brianna is survived by her husband, Matt, her mother and father, John and Rhonda Richmond, and siblings Angela (Jose) Carter, Tyler (Silvia) Richmond, Jessica Sifferle and Laura Sifferle. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and family members. Funeral service Monday, June 2, 2014 at 4:00 PM at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, 3675 Arboretum Drive, Chanhassen, MN 55318 (952-443-1400). A visitation will take place for 2 hours prior to the service on Monday at the Arboretum. Private family interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to charity of donor’s choice. My best Brianna memories are from Annie Barton's wedding in NYC. Brianna was so happy to be engaged to Matt and was busy planning their wedding and talking about the upcoming tour. I remember thinking it must be one of the greatest times of her life. She seemed to be spilling over with joy and excitement for what was to come. I only wish I had the opportunity to make more memories with you, Brianna.

As feel such a great loss,to lose such a loved one wonders who will do with this pain, you know that Holy Scripture helps us find words of comfort, if you look in the book chapter 5 verses 28 and 29 of John.Isaiah chapter 25 verses 8, you will notice as the words of God helps us understand why there is death.

I only hope may god really give Rhonda and her family the strength to get through this sad phase. Life is so uncertain and unfair at times.

The true test of my faith is approaching. Will I remain hopeful amongst the devastation of so many, myself included, over the loss of an AMAZING sister, Brianna Cowles ? One thing I do know is this... my baby sister is looking down from above and is donned with wings. Thank you to those who have shared stories, pictures and the like. What I covet most though, are your prayers for our family.

Some days you feel invincible; some days you feel every ounce of mortality; never regret a moment because you never know which one may be your last.... These moments are for you Bri

It's amazing how many people were touched by Anna's life. I am so happy that she touched mine and could bring so many people together, at both the best and worst of times. RIP Brianna Cowles. You were the best of friends and I will continue to be inspired by you everyday. I love you forever.
